Dahlia Grimm

Finally I finished this! What a nightmare the making of this painting has been!

I would have posted this up yesterday, but something went wrong when I was finishing the colouring. I was THIS close to completing the picture when I opened up the file...and everything had gone red. There was this hue of just...red. I couldn't fix it unfortunately, so I had to scrap the file and start ALL OVER AGAIN. Luckily I was smart and saved the line art as a separate file. Now I have this thing where every time I reach a certain point, I save my progress in a collection of separate files.

Anyway, this is my character, Dahlia Grimm (I know, I have a lot of characters...). She is actually an older character of mine that I came up with in middle school. Back then her name was Pall and she didn't wear so much black, plus her hair was blonde, not pink and white. She appears in a story that I am currently writing.

This is not the best digital painting out there, but I must say I am proud of myself for sticking with this one. It's not exactly a small file either (the original file size is 2351 x 3940).
